Randomness leads to snakeoil

Glade Riven

Adventurer
I hadn't created a character in a while, so I decided to roll one up today. The stats turned out interesting (18, 16, 11, 9, 9, 7), but I couldn't decide what exactly to make. Time to break out the dice.

Coinflip for PRPG Core or APG classes - came up APG
D6 came up with Alchemist
D8 for PRPG race came up half-elf (#8 would have been a reroll)

So I have a half-elf alchemist whose got 2 good stats and a whole lot of lousy. What can I do with that?

Solomon Wilcox
Half-Elf Alchemist 1
Str 9 (-1) Dex 9 (-1) Con 11 (+1) Int 16 (+3) Wis 7 (-2) Cha 20 (+5)

Wilcox is a scheister - a smooth tongued half-elf who, until recently, made a livelihood as a "snakeoil" salesman. That career promptly ended when an angry mob burned his wagon with almost all his possessions.

Wilcox is always looking for a get-rich scheme, and believes that perhaps adventuring may finally prove to be the golden goose. Despite looking a bit like a hobo and smelling like a wizard, Wilcox comes off as a charming young man of decent intelligence. His education is informal. When not out trying to strike it rich, he is dodging his creditors and clientèle alike.

And he has a ragged stovetop hat. It is not magical.

And....now I want to play him. Sure, I could go for the munchkin and dump that 20 into Int instead (or boost it to 18 while leaving the charisma equily high), but the absurdly high charisma fits the character better.
