New Character: Nelzelzebub

Glade Riven

Adventurer
"Look, I'm sorry, okay? I don't really know how this 'good' thing works!"
Nelzelzebub

Nel does not know the original intent of the person who summoned him. What he does know is that the wizard's apprentice who called him to this plane botched the job and now Nel's soul is stuck in the recently vacated property of human flesh.

Feighning amnesia from the explosion that put him in this predicament, Nel now tries to hide his true identity...usually by attempting to be a "good guy" and failing (usually in horrible and disturbing ways). Shenanigans Ensue.

Technically, Nelzelzebub is a Tiefling Sorcerer [Abyssal Bloodline]; chaotic evil (but trying to hide it).

Stats rolled (4d6, drop lowest): 17 17 12 10 13 12

So that turned out to be a good set.
STR: 12 DEX:15 CON: 17 INT: 14 WIS: 10 CHA: 15 (17 for the purposes of spellcasting and class abilities)

Everything else is your typical Level 1 sorc character.

Quick question, though...would racial resistance to electricity from being a Tiefling stack with the lvl 3 bloodline Resistance? It doesn't say, but I would assume no (you get the larger of the 2 numbers), but that's more a conclusion based off of whether or not it seems fair rather than any actual rules. Having Electricity Resistance: 10 at 3rd level from stacking just seems unbalancing to me.

Tow things, you might want to consider putting a 17 in strength. The abyssal bloodlines has two powers that seem to push to a melee caster build. The claws then later strength boosts.

Secondly the penalty to charisma for tie flings is a blanket -2 so he just has a 15' with no exceptions. If you picked abyssal for theme though the stat setup is fine the claws will just be less useful

Fiendish Sorcery (Ex) Tiefling sorcerers with the Abyssal or Infernal bloodline treat their Charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer class abilities.

Straight from the PF:RPG Bestiary. The hit to Cha still affects skills, but since spellcasting is a class ability the penalty is negated for spellcasting. Having a good DEX and CON (especially CON) is better for survivability.

Sounds like an interesting and fun (if challenging) character to play. The idea of a "self-enlightened" sociopath makes for a great concept, one that I could actually imagine working in a party of PCs (something a bit rare given the CE alignment).

On another note, there are a few spells that might be useful in hiding your character's true nature (maybe just as wands if you don't want to dedicate a slot for them). Disguise Self, Alter Self, and Polymorph can also be used to disguise your physical features, while Misdirection and Nondetection can help conceal your evil nature (a ring of Mind Shielding could work here too).

Oh that is neat, I didn't notice that.

It looks like this PC has a definite dark comedic vibe- to hone that "new to a human body" thing, you might want to view some of Third Rock From the Sun season 1 if you haven't already. Or the BBEG from MIB.

Well, the physical traits are that he smells funny (but most sorcerers smell funny, what with pockets full of dead things) & his eye turn yellow and slitted when spellcasting or using bloodline powers. Most of the time he looks perfectly human, just a weird one (and scrawny).

His personality is very skittish, both afraid of and fascinated by things that can kill him. He doesn't look threatening, but his paranoia can make other people nervous. Confidence only makes him murderous (like finding his

His personality is loosley based on Stork from the canuk show Stormhawks. The "trying to do good part and failing" is my addition/tweak. The fact that he is, at least, trying to do good (against his nature) is handy for letting him off the hook - unless someone is playing a paladin at the extreme end of Lawful Stupid.

With human senses duller or sharper than the one's he's used to, he may make over or underestimations of things he perceives.

He may eat things others find revolting, or hate what others enjoy.

Human bodily functions may differ from his own- he may forget about excretory functions (timing or even how to) occasionally...and may not understand (see points above) why "repeating" due to his diet may not be pleasant to those around him.

Sneezing could be a great surprise...for good or ill.

And speaking of ill, he won't necessarily understand his body's messages Re: health...

maybe the passing of gas as a limited time running joke, but anything beyond that, i would agree with Transbot9
