Carry Cases?

I have a feeling I will always have a problem with the handles on the rolling cases (I am 6'5") so if thats the only major issue, I think I may check that out. So many options!! Thanks everyone for the input, if anyone else has any ideas I am open to them. I am not going for another hour and a half lol.

I carry about 25 books with me (yes I use them all, maybe not all in 1 session, but you never know what you need).
Good god! No one else is commenting on this - is this a common amount of books that people carry around to their games?! Can you just photocopy some of the most relevant pages from your travelling game library to make your load smaller, maybe?

I have a leather compartmentalized bag that I use. The most I've ever carried in it was 6 books and a laptop, and these days I only carry 3-4 books.

I usually carry 3-7 books, depending on what I expect to use. last game I only took the MM, PHB and DMG, though-- and I forgot the PHB in the car! Ran just fine, although I did have to borrow the PHB a couple times. Never cracked the MM and only checked the DMG to hand out exp at the end.

Before every game, I print out every monster I intend to use in the MM4/DMG2 stat block format. Often it means I need to type it out myself (I have a template), but that's okay. It means no lugging around an entire book for no monster, and also means no having to apply templates in my head.

I have a rolling, lockable briefcase, meant for hauling legal briefs to meetings and/or court, which I got from Office Depot during a "store moving" sale. It holds 11 of the hardcover books and has an expandable pocket on the outside for pens and other things like calculators and notepaper.

What's nice about it is that it has rigid sides and an extensible handle, so that it can be pulled along very comfortably.

This thread has me considering getting something new to carry my books in. As a player I only need 3-4 books that I carry in a backpack. I also have the most D&D books in the group (and we don't play at my apartment), so I have another bag that I put about another dozen books in just in case (and that is only bringing the books I know no one else has). When I DM I try to only bring the books I need.
