Quick Question:

Would a successful Acrobatics check achieve the same results of Tumble from 3e? Meaning I could avoid an when moving to set up a flanking situation?

No. Acrobatics cannot let you avoid opportunity attacks. See the Rogue level 2 utility power "Tumble".

Edit: Ok, that wasn't very helpful. Basically, Tumble is now a rogue utility power. You can use it once per encounter to shift (move without taking OA's) 4(?) squares.

Edit part 2: There are also other powers out there that allow a character to shift, similar to Tumble. Usually it's the striker classes (rogue, ranger, and warlock).

I can picture situations in which an acrobatic stunt can let you avoid an opportunity attack; not something like "I backflip around the bad guy" but something like "when I dash by the berzerker, I slide under the table to use it for cover".
 

Can you use an acrobatics check to move through a square occupied by a foe?

The first part of the skill says "Make an acrobatics check to...somersault over an opponent".

If so, what would you generally set the DC at?

The general DC is 15, but "The DM sets the DC based on the complexity of the stunt and the danger of the situation...Your DM always has the right to say that a stunt won’t work in a particular situation or to set a high DC."

Assuming your foe is medium size and armed and actively in combat with your party. What would you set that DC at?

Would it change if the foe was small size?

Would it change if the foe was large size?

That was my first thought in the situation my character was in (in a PbP game here), I wanted to tumble (or acrobat) over the enemy, but I would be leaving the threatened space of another foe.

Anyways, unless you can't get around the enemy (5-ft wide corridor) I think you're better off just moving to the other side?

Someone should start a thread where people can list the various "stunts" they can think of and the DCs they would set for it.
