Whew... I think that's all of them.
So, ummm, do you live near San Diego? Because if you do, can I have you organize my minis? Right now I just dump them into a huge thing with a handle. I think, despite the large number of minis I have, I've used the same six orcs to represent the last five encounters. None of them had orcs....

Ah, the joys of collecting, sorting and storing minis. First you have a box labeled "Monsters", then you have a box labeled "Aberrations", then "Tentacled Aberrations", and finally one just for "Ropers".

This would be funny if not for the fact that your experience pretty much is exactly the same as mine!:D

Olaf the Stout

P.S. Good to see you around still Ant, I haven't seen or heard from you in quite a while.

I have had to resort to a "Miscellaneous Bipeds" box, and another one labelled "Things That Defy Easy Categorization and Which I Will Thus Never Be Able to Find When I Need Them During a Game" :.-(

That last one... yes, I really relate to that. I've always had problems with humanoid creatures in 3e that weren't humanoids. Grimlocks are Aberrations... why?

Cheers!

I'm sort of OCD when it comes to categorizing minis. I have them all sorted for RPG use in baggies, then organized in storage containers.

(. . .)

Every bag is labled with type, and placed in a larger bag for race (drow, for example), then placed in the container labelling what creatures are in the container.

Makes it very, very easy to find what I need on the fly.

Yoink! :D

Where do your Fang Dragons and Shadow Dragons go?
Well... I cheated and put them with Chromatics. If/when we get more non-color-coded dragons, I'll probably have to come up with a box for them.

Unfortunately, I'm half the world away from you... but if I ever come to CA, I'll be glad to help.

Glad to be of assistance!

Damn. I'm...impressed.

Categories of monsters that don't have that many minis can be tough to classify. I have a drawer with goblins, plant creatures, and ... githyanki/githzerai.

However, I found the "stuff with wings" drawer really useful.
