Rystil's Once-a-Week Poetry: Week 3- Mnemosyne

Mnemosyne-

A shard from past to present is made real
A glitt'ring jewel that crystallizes here
You whisper softly causing me to feel
A wondrous distant something now is near
But whither, fleeting spirit, dost thou fly?
Though new arrived, will you be leaving soon?
With inspiration's absence now a sigh
Escapes from him who seeks another boon.
Doffing deceptions, slipping through my mask
Is simple for a creature such as thee.
But keeping us together is a task
That stymies minds far mightier than me.
To anchor ships astray, escape the din,
And keep you in my thoughts I look within.

Wow, guess putting my name in front of the poem actually made it *less* popular this time...
