As many of you might know, Eric Noah's grandmother ("Eric's Grandma") holds a special place in the hearts of many EN Worlders. From the time Eric originally created his messageboards, the moderation rule was "Don't say anything which would offend my grandma". Even after he moved on, closing his website, the Grandma Rule lived on here at EN World, and exists to this day.
With this in mind, I am sad to report that Eric's grandma passed away a few days ago. Sometimes it's hard to remember that the rule was based around the idea of a real, living person. Eric's grandma, although she may not know it, played a great role in shaping this website. A couple of years ago, Eric asked EN Worlders to send his grandma a postcard - the result was that she was inundated with cards from EN World members all around the world.
