Can this Paladin 6th level Utility give you +16 to skill checks or just +8?

From my understanding up to 4 people are allowed to assist as written. 4 people at a 4 bonus = 16.

The reason I ask is I read in the Aid Another section it states a Max of +8 so I wasnt sure which applied.

I think it should say Up to 4 people can Aid Another, to a max +8 unless powers affect it. Maybe that should be general rule and One Heart One Mind a specific over-riding rule. However, maybe it will not work that way.

As it stands, under skill check, does not list number of people, only the maximum bonus.

The general rule is that powers break the general rules. So yes, normally the rule is +8, but the power changes the bonus from +2 to +4, and so 4 people helping at +4 = +16.
