Dragonshard removal?

Once you buy and put a Dragonshard on your weapon, can it be removed?

For example, with the Siberys shard, that gives radiant light for 10, could
you remove it from your weapon in a dungeon and use it for a light source,
then reinstall it after you're done?

Yes, the rules state that you can remove or affix a dragonshard during a short or extended rest.
