Ryk scrambles up a drainpipe to the roof. Well, halfway up, anyway. The drainpipe, corroded by years of Sharn's incessant rain, breaks even under his light weight. His sudden fall startles Spring, and the clawfoot makes a loud noise somewhere between a hiss and a yelp. stealth 11 (another natural 1), athletics 14 (a natural 2, that's twice as good, right?)

Picking himself up, the halfling mutters on second thought, let's just fight them. He listens for the expected sounds of approaching guards and makes sure his weapons are alright after the fall.

Vok valiantly tries to overcome the plate mail he's wearing to keep up with the others, but his movements are quite clumsy. He is much better at masking the clanking sounds of his armor this time however.

"It was a good plan everyone" the half-elf says with a grin, already getting his shield out.

perception; acrobatics; stealth (1d20+8=20, 1d20=5, 1d20=16) well at least he was kinda stealthy this time ;)

While we wait for the enemies (presuming we fail here), can Vok take a standard action to strap on a shield?

Ryk looks ruefully at the metal giant scrambling up to the roof. Noticing the hand and foot shaped gashes gouged out of the crumbling brick, he says Carving your own ladder as you go... a nice idea. Wish I could do that.

Pulling themselves up, Crush has an easy time of it despite his size. Ryk manages to hope a few alleys easily, Spring following spritely. Rikka and Vok have a harder time, almost falling, but Crush and Ryk just manage to catch them. Then, when it looked like Bellegon was going to fall into an untended bird cage, spilling its contents and revealing themselves, he vanished into darkness, only to appear, panting and safe, nearby.

Luckily for the group, the distance of the patrol and the darkness cloaks them, and no one is the wiser.

Rikka, once roofborne, directs the group as best she can. She finds several circuitous routes. The group is almost around the archer when she must pause to reconsider.

[Okay, you are near the archer. You need some way to bypass him. I'll let you figure out if its is stealth, guile, or brute force. Assuming stealth, that'll be another group stealth check + a perception check. Guile has a few options as does brute force.

In order to succeed on that last challenge, Bellegon had to use Ethereal Stride. It is not available until the next short rest (after the challenge).]

OOC also: Would it be possible to use an additional Perception check or some other method to assess the possible difficulty of using Stealth? (to get an idea of the target DC- if so, Perception +20= 37 ; roll Roll Lookup ) And would it be again a 'majority must pass' group Stealth check?

[sblock= OOC tactics] My first vote would be for Stealth, then attack. I don't have a lot of confidence in our trick/bluff capability, but if somebody has a hot idea... [/sblock]
