Simon hasn't been on Idol is a couple seasons now. So there's still hope there, too.

We've now finished casting, so you'll hear about the successful auditionees very soon!

We received a LOT more than we thought we would. Three figures, not the dozen or so we expected! Unfortunately, too many for us to reply to everyone like we hoped we'd be able to do.

The biggest issue was audio quality - there were many people who could improve their auditions immensely with a better microphone, a pop filter, and so on. That does require a little investment (although they are very inexpensive).

Thank you to everyone who auditioned! If the first season is well received, we will likely be auditioning for more characters later. Please don't let an unsuccessful audition at this stage prevent you trying again - it may just be that you voice wasn't quite right for how we saw that particular character, or that a change in your audio setup could make a big difference.

And if I never hear those lines again, it'll be too soon! Listening to the same lines over and over and over and over again really starts to get to you!
