The world has one major continent which occupies most of the land area of the western hemisphere, and nine minor continents / large islands, 8 of whcih are arranged in a rough figure 8 in the eastern hemisphere.
[campaign]Kelistin[/campaign], the city of portals, is the capital of the [campaign]Hyellic Empire[/campaign] and the largest city in the world. It fills most of a small island where two minor continents / large islands almost touch, with great bridges for foot, carriage, and lightning rail leaving to both. The city is ringed by natural portals to the planes. The ruling elite of the Hyellic empire is mostly half-elven.
The empire controls three minor continents / large islands in addition to the City of Portals, and has small outposts on two others. One of those, to the northeast of main continents of the Empire, is [campaign]Syraxa[/campaign], ancestral home of the Dragonborn.
The other is [campaign]Andarvic[/campaign], due north of the Empire. Most of the continent is somewhat mountainous, though there are mostly-human city-states in the lowlands and mostly-gnomish enclaves in the mountains. While most of the communities are independent and control little beyond their city walls, the Empire recently gained control of most of a peninsula in the southwest of the continent, maintaining a local capital at [campaign]Novaric[/campaign] and has the allegiance of the self-procalimed nobility of [campaign]Barrinsgate[/campaign].
Southwest of the Empire (and south of Syraxa) lies [campaign]Hunan[/campaign], home of a somewhat insular people.
