This is a recording of the Secrets of TSR panel from PaizoCon 2012. The panelists included Jeff Grubb, Pierce Watters, Rob Lazzaretti, Dave Gross, Wolfgang Baur, and Stan! The video was recorded by Ed Healy of Gamerati, who says there are more videos to come.

There was some good stuff, especially once they got going...

But why are three of them wearing hats?

Even if it hadn't been a gorgeous, sunny weekend, all three of those gentlemen would still be wearing their somewhat signature hats. Introduce yourself to Jeff, Dave, or Stan! sometime and you'll see that's just how they roll.

Or, from another angle, because it looks @#$% good.

Because they're old farts and need to cover up their balding pates.

Besides, creative types often affect odd (or at least different) behaviors to emphasize the fact that they're artsy types. Cultivating a quirk helps people remember you and is near mandatory for writers in Hollywood, for example.

While I'm more than a little curious, I must admit a little unease at seeing TSR's dirty laundry aired in public. It just doesn't seem right, somehow.

Not that that's going to stop me watching, just as soon as I find the time.

I've only watched about 50% so far, but I reckon they did a great job of keeping it clean and professional... well, as at least as professional as gamers ever are...

Interesting stuff but I'm kind of sad that there was no discussion whatsoever of Greyhawk.

I enjoyed watching this panel on YouTube quite a bit. Good stuff!
