Multi-Domain Armour (MDA)

The Mulit-Domain Armour (MDA) suits are a recent development in both space travel and military science. The are specialised armour that is made for flexible movement in space and outfitted with modules to power devices and weapons alike. They are not difficult to use but difficult to maintain. Aside from the standard issue units used in emergencies each MDA suit is kitted up for the individual user.

Each suit has from two to five modules that can perform a variety of functions. These usually sap a bit of the MDA's energy to utilise the function attached. In general the more modules the suit has the less space it has to devote to other attachments such as weaponry or equipment.

All suits are about 8 feet tall and have their own air circulatory supply for deep space missions. They are powered by the users themselves taking a bit of their daily calorie intake. Thus usually only fit users may pilot a MDA or get very tired in the process. Each MDA has a special shut down feature to save the user's life and keep air flowing if there is very little resources left. The suit will also trigger an emergency beacon with its location for other members to find.

There are four variations of the MDA. Alpha, Chi, Sigma and Epsilon suits.

Alpha (75 EP): This MDA has the bare minimum of modules devoted to special functions, it only has two. However the suit may carry up to two side arms or equipment pieces. Two main weapons or utility pieces. This suit also has a heavy slot in which it can carry up to one piece of heavy equipment, this could be a weapon, shield or device. This suit is exclusively worn by soldiers as it can carry far more weapons than any other suits.

Chi (55 EP): This MDA is a balanced suit, it has three special function modules and can carry a modest amount of a equipment. It can carry up to two side arms or equipment pieces. It may also equip two main weapons or utility pieces. Unique to this MDA it may carry special scanners that show up on the HUD of the user. This is the most widely used suits amongst soldiers and civilians alike due to the usefulness of the scanners.

Sigma (35 EP): This suit forsakes even more of it's equipment in exchange for more special function modules. This suit has four special function modules and can carry a few pieces of equipment. This MDA can carry up to two side arms or equipment pieces. Though only one main weapon or utility piece. This suit may also has specialised leg armour upgrades. This suit is mostly used by those that wish to use drones as it has enough module space to fit the biggest attack or repair drones while still performing a special function.

Epsilon (15 EP): This suit forgoes almost all equipment for specialised function modules. It is very lacking in terms of space for this equipment compared to other MDAs as it may only carry one side arm or equipment piece and one main weapon or utility piece. However it makes up for this for having up to five special function modules as well as having access to specialised power cores, these change the effects of what a weapon or piece of equipment can do. Many advanced engineers or soldiers that game a high risk, high reward fighting style use these suits due to their diverse power cores.

(The numbers next to each suit is the how many equipment points each suit may spend on equipment. This will form a loadout, the loadout can change from mission to mission as long as it does not exceed the MDA's maximum EP)
