I noticed in the note on Empires/regions alot changed. Major one ones were added, like Chessenta, Mulhorand, Unther, Thesk, Sembia, Mohgrom, Aglarond, Deep Rift, the Dragon,Coast to name bunch.

Thay went from being perseudo Asian, to a perseudo Egyptian break away colony (a major shift).

Ironically it was Mulhorand and Unther that best fit his idea of portals to other worlds (Earth and some Orc world).

yep, some cool tidbits. I hope the book is full of typed up pre pub pages like that. I am far more interested in the Realms geography,lore, and characters like Elminster, as Ed envisioned them instead of the way they ended up per instruction via the TSR and WOTC teams (i.e. more often than not, hack jobs).
