What if DMs started their campaigns like Kickstarter projects?

Just a bit of humour, inspired by the Rebuilding ENWorld Kickstarter and this thread.

Pledge $5 or more
Born Hero: Start with +2 to all ability scores.

Pledge $10 or more
Well-Connected: Name and describe an NPC in the campaign who is friends with your PC and will provie help (within reason).

Pledge $20 or more
Anything Goes: Make use of any class, race, feat, spell, etc. from any supplement when creating your character.

Pledge $50 or more
Wish List: Once per level, name a magic item. Your PC will find that item on his next adventure.

Pledge $100 or more
Untouchable: Anything bad that happens to your PC will be reversed before the start of the next adventure. If he dies, he will be raised. If he is cursed, it will be removed. If any magic item breaks, is lost or is stolen, it will be repaired or replaced.

Pledge $200 or more
Tell Me What to Do: Once per adventure, something happens the way you want it to, no matter how crazy or illogical.

This Kickstarter needs some...

Add ons

"Special" dice ($35)
This add on give you the ability to use any dice that you want during games. No-one else is allowed to use your dice, nor can anyone question the suspicious absence of a "2" and that second lopsided "20".

Bring a buddy ($65)
In addition to your normal character, you can bring a second "NPC" along to join in the fun during each game. This "NPC" can even be a favored character from another campaign you've played in or run.

Precognition ($100)
You can use this add on to borrow the DM's notes for an upcoming game for an hour before the game starts. You can purchase this add on multiple times, each time gives you one use of precognition in the campaign.

Nagol

Unimportant
I'd probably revamp the starting entries a bit:

Pledge $1 or more -- be part of the play group as an alternate player

Pledge $5 or more -- get a guaranteed spot at the table (Limit 6)
-- Pledge $10 or more -- guaranteed to be a player, not a DM (Limit 5)

Now after this you start adding inducements

What would be the goal for the Kickstarter? Other than "get the DM a new library of gaming books." (Which, if you're switching systems, might not be a bad idea. Something to keep in mind when 5e comes out.)

I wonder if switching it from money to something else might making it palpable. Sentences of relevant character background or something.

Add-on
$15 That Was Cocked. Reroll one die roll per session.

$50 Bring a Date.
You can show up with your "new girlfriend/boyfriend" once and the DM cannot complain.

$125 3PP Party. You can use one 3rd Party Product for your character.

How about "The DM demands tribute!" :p

That is too sensible a suggestion for what is essentially a silly thread. ;)

That's more like it! :D
