OOC: Just to be clear, approaching the building will require walking through the water between the tunnel exit and the building.

Attila eyes the water suspiciously. Then she turns to the others.

"Wing's right. Lets just get over there.

"You, you and you," she says, pointing out three of the others with a claw. "You're with Wing."

To the remaining two she adds, "You're with me. Stay on the hill. Keep your eyes out for trouble."

If there are any with range weapons, Attila puts them in the group remaining on the hill.

"Once we are into a building, then we can find some stairs and have a look around."

Wing, Onslau, Martik, and Mogullen cautiously enter the water while Atilla, Thudarr, and Narford remain alert on the hill. The current tugs at their hips and legs, and Martik loses his footing once, but Onslau catches his arm and hauls him upright again.

Narford, the halfling, says, "That looks deep."

The quartet enters the flooded ground floor of the building. The waters there swirl, but the current is weaker and the footing is surer. Wing can see down a flooded corridor that runs about fifteen feet before ending in two doors. To the left and right of the corridor are deep set double-doors. One set has been forced open, the twin metal portals bent away from their center seam.

Morgullen and Martik check the doors at the end of the hall. One leads into a shorter corridor with two more doors. The other, heavier door, opens into a stairwell. Steps ascend and descend, the latter implied by the slanted handrails rather than seen due to the dark water.

"Seems safe enough," Martik says.

Attila dips her head slightly (her closest approximation of a nod) in agreement.

"Let's get this over with then."

With a short prayer to Droainon, the spider heads into the water and towards the building.

Once inside (if they make it safely) Attila suggests following the stairs up. If nothing else, it will be dry.

Wing, Onslau, Martik, and Mogullen wait in the flooded ground floor while while Atilla, Thudarr, and Narford make their way from the hill to the building, Narford complaining all the way about the water lapping at her chin. The group moves down the corridor to the stairs, and ascends carefully, weapons at the ready and alert. After just a few steps, the water is left behind. On the first landing, there is a sturdy door. Onslau cracks the door open just a bit and peeks through.

"A hallway," he whispers. "More doors, some of them open. Looks safe enough."

Attila flicks water off each of her legs in turn as they ascend the stairs.

As everyone gathers on the landing, she looks wistfully up the stairwell. She wants to see the world from the top of the building.

"Let's keep going up. At least a few floors, if not to the top right now.

"Besides, going up a few floors will give us more warning if something comes up the stairs."
