I'm part of a group that is organizing a local con of sorts. We're basically aiming to celebrate all things geek. On April 20th, we are hosting Midwest Geekfest. We are celebrating the following:
Yep. We basically loaded a shotgun with everything we could think of and, on April 20th from 10a-10p, will fire it. We're definitely not as big as Gen Con--we're capping the attendance around 300--but the good news is IT'S FREE!!!
Yep, free. Everything offered is free. If you're going to be in Columbia, Missouri on April 20th, we'd certainly love to meet you. And if this is something for which you would like to make a road trip, all the better! Our website is up and being updated constantly because, well, we're scrambling to get everything squared away. So if you're interested, please go register.
