Ed thinks that D&D Next will almost certainly be released in 2015 and that it might not be to different from the last playtest packet that he thnks will be released on September 15.

Is there a text version?
No transcrip, but edwin_su wrote a short recap over on WoTC Boards;

at around the 2 minute mark he said that DnD Next release will almost certainly be 2015
at 3 minutes he sais that the released game might not be to difrent from thelast playtest pacvket earlyer he said he thnks that package will be released 15 september 2013

Early in the 2nd part he sais DnD next is kind of get it right ot go home, if it is terible it won´t be for lack of trying.
At about 4 minutes it is said that there still is a lot of discussion what the products should look like.

9 minutes he talks a bit about WOTC being owned by Hasbro and that Hasbro had a hard time with it.
As hasbro is a toy company so are used that a audience grows out of a product line every 6 years

So, Ed G makes it clear he doesn't know for sure any of this, as he's "only a freelancer", but the following is being debated.

Alignment most likely fluff only
Still working out how the material will look and ship - Big internal discussion of e-book v printed book
The do not want to alienate 4e players, in fact the want to build on the audience
There will be real marketing supporting
In that mass market vein, the core game will be simple and free of moral hazards
2015 is likely ship date
15/2013 for last external playtest ship - does not think the core will change significantly from these in the final product

Interesitng to hear tonight that the D&D movie from WB is probably going to be a 2015 release. With Ed talking about WotC looking at really marketing D&D next could be 2015 is spot on.

Why would they wait till 2015 to release it, especially if it's mostly done? To enjoy another year of zero revenue? Hasbro exec at earnings time: "Oh, have we not fired all of you yet? <waves hand>" I don't think Greenwood could be right here.

Well, heh, except perhaps for the killing of sentient beings modeled on real-world racial stereotypes in order to plunder their belongings. The heart-and-soul of D&D! :)

And possibly the use of "dark" magics to accomplish your goals of worldly riches at the expense of others.
