I think it needs the actual mor-rhymes-with-door pronounciation to have that connotation. "Morr" as in "tomorrow" or "moral" doesn't have the same feel to it, at least to me - and that's how I've always 'heard' the word Morrus when reading it.

Is there an official pronounciation?
