BBC site article on the 'D&D is evil' controversy

A balanced article on the BBC News site ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-26328105 ) about the so-called 'dangers' of D&D that grabbed the (US) media's attention in the 1980s.

Of course, none of the 'evils' attributed to the game ever materialised. In light of that fact, many media outlets, mostly in the US, owe the gaming community an apology though I don't expect one will ever be forthcoming. It's too much to hope for probity from the media and perhaps this article is as near we're ever going to get to redressing the slurr. And in fairness, the Beeb never jumped on the 'D&D is evil' bandwaggon.

Who, exactly, would you like to apologize for the media collective? People who died years ago? People who were children when the story was reported 30 years ago?

If "the media" works with a single mind and will, so much of it wouldn't be going bankrupt; it would have collectively adapted to the digital age a whole lot better than it has.
