Furoshiki (風呂敷) are a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth traditionally used to transport clothes, gifts, or other goods. Furoshiki began to be used in the mid-Nara Era, in traditional Japanese baths. To prevent a mix up of the bathers' clothes, the removed clothing was tied up in Furoshiki. Later the system of folding spread and was used by traders to protect their goods or gifts.

Interesting concept. Not sure if I'll actually buy a pair but I'll check them out if I come across them at the store.

Yeah, it looks interesting. I'm kind of curious to try them on. I wonder if they'll start selling them in brick-and-mortar stores, or if they'll start off similar to their Five Fingers and mainly sell them online and a very limited set of stores? I had a hard enough time finding five finger shoes when they first came out.
