Story:
Chkikn was a small ratfolk pup, but perhaps more nimble and smart than the average. As a result the larger younglings always picked on him, his brothers, his companions, even his mates. Perhaps it was this that drove him to put his intelligence to device ways to even the odds of survivalwithin the pack.
Naturally curious, Chkikn would climb the sewers his pack lived in, into the streets of Azgund. There he would sneak into the study of alchemists and learn from sight, from simply watching what these humans did. He woudl sneak back at night, and use the stuff he found in the sewers to make his own concoktions.
Eventually, he gained enough practice to confront the larger individuals of his clan in order to ascend in the social scale of the ratfolk. However, his glory was short lived. An accident with a aphordisiac potion blew off the chief's mate's head! Needless to say, Chkikn found a great situation to try his expeditious retreat extract!
He left only with his life and abunch of notes and vials, which is a lot to say. Two weeks later he arrived to Vedlund seeking food and shelter. His limited ability to survive in the wilderness had kept him alive... barely. Finding job was hard, no one trusted a ratfolk to brew things they had to drink, and there was not much else he could do for coin, he was tiny and weak.
When he saw Aston pledge for brave souls, he figured he could get money from this Aston person, and if things got ugly he could alsways run for it, as he did in Azgund.

For my old players, here's a rundown on what the PCs from Silvergard and Azgundi Tournaments are up to at present.

Alaric - Professor of Alchemy at the Arcane Academy under Headmaster Entan. He has become the unofficial caretaker of Shraezek, a young copper dragon and the first to be cured of the dragon plague.

Aohdahn - After the cure for the dragon plague was successfully administered, Aohdahn accompanied the crystal dragon, Pryzm, and her half-giant guardian back to the Barren Lands, hoping to unlock the secrets of his own mind by meeting the One Mind itself.

Corath - The artificial being known as Corath had been given a semblance of life by the half-elf vampire assassin, though her spirit was displaced into her enchanted rapiers. When Estelle reunited the rapiers with Corath, the former construct was able to reassert control over herself before carrying at the vampire's plan to kill Rennaldo. Corath has since taken a position as head of security at the Arcane Academy while Alaric and her others study her new condition and its long term effects.

Estelle - Accompanied William to the Necropolis, hunting down the half-vampire who was behind the assassination attempts at the 1152 tournaments.

Johen - Accompanied Valen to the Djihon islands.

Muzdum - Lord of Silvergard. Muzdum has brought in many of his dwarven clanmates to work the silver mines and has created a strong military presence in the mountain barony to assist Vedlund in putting the orcs in the region to the sword. He also takes great care to protect the obsidian obelisk, the monument to the heroes of the Shadow War.

Pryzm - After helping to cure the dragon plague, the crystal dragon known as Pryzm returned to the Barren Lands with her guardian, Odon, seeking once again to commune with the One Mind.

Rennaldo - With the declaration of Anovia's independence from Azgund, now Queen Nineveh of Anovia appointed Rennaldo as her personal body guard.

Shayuri - After curing the dragon plague, Shayuri felt compelled to heal the spiritual and political rifts in her own people before they led to civil war and thus returned to Emiras.

Valen - Journeyed with his elven fiancé, Aleera, and Johen to the Dhihon Islands, hoping to find the lair of the Serpent and destroy her once and for all.

William - Accompanied Estelle to the Necropolis to hunt down and destroy the half-elven vampire who attempted to assassinate Muzdum, Alaric, and other competitors at the 1152 tournaments.

I'll try to have my sheet posted up here for review tonight, so as to be ready to put it in the rogue's gallery when it's up.
