Hi,
Has anyone information about what could be used as a gaming mixing / crosstalk control?
I'm wanting a 6x6 or 8x8 grid with microphone and headset plugs and at the very least a cutoff switch between any input/output pair. A volume control would be nice.
Chalk it up to "evil bastard DM'ing" and wanting complete control over GM to player and player-to-player chats. Not for all cases, but would be fun to try out. (Or at least *I* think.)
This can probably be done in software, but that requires everyone have a compatible tablet.
I'm thinking a mixing / sound board might be usable, but that seems quite expensive, although, probably very capable. Getting 8x headsets doesn't seem too hard nowadays. There would be some trouble preventing sound leakage, but if I encourage folks to talk softly, that seems good enough.
