Telekinesis

Hey,
A friend of mine has an idea and wants to know if it would work.
A wizard/sorcerer casts Telekinesis on 250lbs of shuriken, some 2500 shurikens (assuming he has enough of them) and use the violent thrust to hurl them at someone, each doing 1 point of damage.
Just want to know if this is feasable and appropriate and how some DM's would handle this.
Thanks,
Akh

What does it say about manipulating multiple objects at the same time?

What does it say about throwing objects accurately?

It seems to be a combination of the answer to those 2 questions.

Telekinesis

Violent Thrust: Alternatively, the spell energy can be expended in a single round. The character can hurl one or more objects or creatures who are within range and all within 10 feet of each other toward any target within 10 feet/level of all the objects. The character can hurl up to a total weight of 25 pounds per caster level.

The character must succeed at attack rolls (one per creature or object thrown) to hit the target with the items, using the character's base attack bonus + the character's Intelligence modifier. Weapons cause standard damage (with no Strength bonus). Other objects cause damage ranging from 1 point per 25 pounds (for less dangerous objects such as a barrel) to 1d6 points of damage per 25 pounds (for hard, dense objects such as a boulder).

Creatures who fall within the weight capacity of the spell can be hurled, but they are allowed Will saves to negate the effect, as are those whose held possessions are targeted by the spell. If a telekinesed creature is hurled against a solid surface, it takes damage as if it had fallen 10 feet (1d6 points).

Roll 2500 attacks and pray that you're DM doesn't use critical faiulure rules on a natural one :)

First, not all the shurkins are going to fly the way you want them to. It's a violnet force, not a controled one. So, the flat sides of many of them will end up hitting.

There is of course the problem of transporting 2500 shurkins. Then you have to arrange them so that you can cast the spell and hope that by the time you are ready no one but the people you want to hit are in the way. There are probably other problems with this that I've not thought of.

Might make a neat trap, but it's not exaclty viable for an adventurer. Talking the party tank into carrying 250lbs worth of shurikens would probably be pretty difficult.

However, having the PC's walk into a prepared trap by a villainous wizard could be interesting.

Or maybe a githyanki in his armory hurling swords and axes and what not with his telekinesis ability. Very Darth Vader.
