What's your groups preferred way to handle temporarily passing the DM torch?

We have lots of different games going on, in different systems and by different DMs. So if a DM isn't available/doesn't want to run for a while that game simply goes on hiatus and other games carry on as normal.

We tend to play alternate games. Heck, sometimes D&D isn't even the main campaign, though it usually is. I currently but my 5E campaign on hiatus, and one of my players is running a Star Wars SAGA game. I intend to run some Shadowrun for a while when I'm ready, so who knows when we'll actually get back to my D&D campaign. But that's okay.
