Link from "news" post to forum discussion thread?

Is there a way to jump from the "news" post to the discussion thread? For reasons, I don't like reading the news threads and would rather read such posts in the regular discussion thread. If I follow a link to the news post, is there a way to jump to the same item in the forum?

Can I make this into a feature request then? I just need a simple link to "Discuss this in the forums" somewhere on the page.

I'm afraid I wouldn't have the foggiest how to do that! I don't write the message board software, I'm afraid. I just buy it! I use vBulletin. Computer programming isn't part of my skill set.

I sympathize with both of you. I can't stand the news version of posts. At the same time, if I'm Morrus, what am I gonna do, spend money on stuff that bugs a tiny group of people? I wouldn't. Not a huge deal. It does stop me from reading a lot of news, though. (As does the lack of preview when my mouse hovers over a news item.)

[MENTION=1]Morrus[/MENTION] could you tag each news item with a news tag? That way a 'news' tag search would get them
