I'm curious, even though I felt the first movie was flawed. The script was a bit unfocused, with an abrupt and unnecessary villain slapped onto the end. The reveal that Johnny Depp with a funny haircut was that villain, was a reveal that made everyone in the audience unleash a tired sigh.
But, lets give the guy a chance. Sometimes Depp is pretty good. And Eddie Redmayne's portrayal of Newt was very unique in the first movie, so I'm interested how his character will fit into the second movie, and what they'll do with him. I just hope this movie has a tighter, more focused script than the first movie did.
