WOIN OLD: Are these cheeky spells legal?

Wouldthe following spells be considered legal? I've not bothered with ranges, areas, MP costs, as it's the ideas behind the spells that are important.

Pretzel's Defence
Transform Wood. Area effect that warps incoming arrows. Givens a +1 to ranged DEFENSE

Bat Out of Hell
Transform Beast & Evoke Fire & Move Self
Area effect Evoke Fire spell to attack any surrounding enemies, whilst turning the caster into a Bat, with a move bonus to get out of trouble quick.

Surely Pretzel's Defence would be Abjure Wood, not Transform Wood? The "warping" part of it is just fluff text -- it's the +1 DEFENSE that counts.

Yes, Bat out of Hell sounds fine, if expensive.
