Wow, I'm in good company here.

My name is Dan Cross, and I wrote many articles for the now defunct "lejends" magazine, also spending time supporting Lejendary Adventure in writing and at conventions, mainly between 1999 and 2001 (working a good deal with Chris Clark). Since then I've co-authored "Gary Gygax's World Builder descriptionary", and authored "Gary Gygax's Insidiae" for the same series. Both of my published books are available through Troll Lord Games. My current work includes editing the first issue of Crusader magazine, and I'm waiting for an 80,000 word campaign adventure written for the Lejendary Adventure RPG in 1999 to finally see the light of day...some day.

I'm not extremely prolific, but I've enjoyed what little I've done so far.

My stuff, what there is of it

1) JoeCrow, published as Joe Crow, coz I'm all unimaginative and stuff.

2) Well, most of these are mentioned in my sig, but here are some links.

My first credit was "Dance the Night Away", in Atlas Games' En Route collection. The ENWorld store doesn't seem to have it, so here's the company link.

Next, I did a couple of chapters for Bastion Press' Spells & Magic. I did the Gem Magic chapter and the Path of Shades chapter. I'm told that some of this stuff also got used in Green Ronin's Pocket Magica, which is pretty cool.

Dunno if this counts, but I did a couple of things for Eden Studios' Waysides: the Book of Taverns around the same time a few years ago. Still hasn't been published, though. Pity, I liked the ones I did, and I'd like to see what other folks came up with. Here's a link to their page for it which still says 2004 TBA for publication.

Next, I did The Complete Guide to Treants for Joe Goodman of Goodman Games. My first complete book. Some of it got used for Green Ronin's Corwl: Village of the Wood Elves, also pretty cool.

And after that, I did Bloody Jack's Gold, an adventure for the same stellar fellow. Probably my best work, so far.

And that's it, so far.

Cool. Gem magic is one of my favorite chapters in that book and jewel mages for the basis of a controlling faction in a planar metropolis in my game.

Another excellent work.

I'm old acquaintences with Rasyr from our Rolemaster days. I (A. Scott Moore) co-wrote the Essence Companion for RMSS along with my best friend who posts here as Speaks With Stone. That book has been out of print for years (and commanded some INSANE prices on ebay as a result) but I hear that it might be put out as a PDF sometime in the future. Exactly when is anybody's guess and I think we're well past the time when it is likely to find much of an audience.

Although I enjoy having the book with my name on it and being able to say that I'm a published author, I hardly consider myself much of an industry insider these days and I'm happy to let other people handle the writing for the games I play.

My first paid gig was an adventure called Free Lunches from the Dire Kobold subscription service.

I contributed two selections to Rooms With a View, a really cool collection of encounters from Vanishing Goblin.

Strange small humanoid tradition subsequently shattered by EN World Gamer Magazine #2, for which I created the d20 mini-game Teenage Hot-Rod Werewolves From Mars!, which I think is such an awesome title I should be excused from having to work for the rest of my life.

Upcoming I'm working with Adamant Entertainment to produce a comprehensive set of rules for running chases in d20. It's a solid set of rules to go along with ANY d20 campaign, so you can have chase encounters that are as fun and as well-detailed as combat encounters.

On the horizon, some Skull & Bones material for Adamant's Buccaneers & Bokors pdf magazine.

And there's still the Dino-Pirates of Ninja Island. I haven't forgotten about that. Oh and JPL told me to create a "gun-fu" mini-game which I might have to do, if anyone wants one.

It's such a privilege being able to socialize with so many professionals and amateurs in the industry. Thank heaven for the Internet!
