So a quick bit of accounting:
Carradoc has 4 level 1 slots, 3 level 2 slots.

Spells cast:
783 mage armor
835 sleep (2)
841 magic missile
847 sleep (2)
889 rope trick (2)

leaving 2 x level 1.
He uses Arcane recovery to regain a level 2.

So currently:
2/1/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

Thaliss regains 1 level 2 warlock slot with the short rest.
This brings him at 1/2 level 1 slots (sorcerer) and 2/2 level 2 slots (warlock)
Cheers,

SG

Okay, after the healing in my post, Aridha is at 2 1st level slots. She has 18 HP before using HD during the rest.

So I think I discovered one of my delays, and the good news is there's an easy solution. Hee hee. I am a little embarassed, but I have been lazy and keeping track of hit points and spells and so on on a Notepad sheet...and I realized that I've been doing a terrible job at it. So I've been having to go back page after page, reread posts, keeping a tally...and it's such a pain that I've been avoiding it. Which is lame, however, I will from now on keep the tally in each post, which will mean I won't have to do that and that will mean posting is not such a huge mess for me. Wee!

Laziness is a terrible thing. I'd stop, but it's so much work!

(^_^)

So, I'm gonna roll for 2 hit dice here during her rest. [roll0]

Now she healed both Tolan and Dent. Sorry, Damien...Aridha can tell who's more badly hurt. :) One was healed for 20, one for 16. I lost track of who was more badly hurt, so whoever was more badly hurt got the 20 (her first spells), the other got the second spell for 16.

A short rest doesn't let her recover spell slots, but it does renew her Wildshape, so that's something.

This is trickier than I expected! Wild shaping is a great option for combat, but it means she can't heal anyone but herself anymore...and healing herself is substandard since she loses her Wis bonus (though it's nice as a bonus action). I apologize for the bumps as I try to find this character's niche. She's built as a kind of hybrid melee/support caster, and I haven't found the right balance yet.

Thanks for your patience, and if anyone has suggestions/ideas, they're more than welcome!

No problem Shayuri One note is that Tolan went ahead and used Hit Dice to heal himself during the short rest to full hit points. Granted, your spells would have probably come before we took the rest, so maybe she burned them and Tolan needs to reroll his hit dice.

I think you're doing just fine with the role. When I see Moon Druid, I don't really expect healing. I think our biggest challenge is not really having a dedicated healer. Normally, it isn't a big deal, but when you're hitting above your weight, I think it could help out a lot.

Wow, so exhaustion is all ability checks, thought it was just physical ones. So um yeah, Dent or Aridha should be listening.

disadvantage perception - [roll0]

^ I think that's why "popular" opinion is that Frenzy Barbarian is a trap.

Personally, I think there should be easier ways to get over exhaustion. Short Rest to drop it by one level. With that said, I think Exhaustion should occur whenever you get dropped to 0 HP (magically cured if you recover with a natural 20 on the death save). Helps keep the whack-a-mole in check.

Yeah, I was starting out to look up Lesser Restoration to suggest than in place of healing. But it turns out it takes a Greater restoration. Yeesh.

The frenzy barbarian may be not that great, but he was the closest to what I wanted from the class. Really what I wanted was the old playtest barbarian :D Time to ponder the new paths coming out in the SCAG.

I'm gonna roll HD recovery from the short rest for Dent, and post something in the IC, but after today am too wiped to read through the thread much. Tomorrow maybe. Bean me upside the head with a mention if someone needs me to do something in particular in the IC. Hell of a day. No big, we all have them once in a while.

OK, I read a little and see that Aridha healed Tolan and Dent, and that the healing offered was 20 hp and 16 hp. Dent was at 8 hp. Shayuri, let me know how much healing you apply to Dent.

I'll leave those two HD recovery rolls I rolled and will cross one out Forged Fury-style if one of the two of them ends up not being necessary.

EDIT: Shay, if ever you want to see Dent's hp tally, check the RG. I pretty much keep his sheet up to date with respect to current hp, spell slots, and Paladin abilities.
