[Gloating] This is what happens to unprepared characters.

Ok, here we go. I was ruynning a one shot game using Heart of Nightfang Spire. The party was a Barb/Frenzied Berserker, a Druid, a blind Fighter (one of the coolest characters I've ever seen) and a Hengyoki Shujenja. Apologies for the misspellings, if any. Anyway, they're about 1/4th of the way through and they come across the room with the first five Gorillons in it. Not having rested since fighting all the way to that point, the Barbarian rushes in and procedes to frenzy and get mauled. After several rounds of Deathless Frenzy, a flamestrike from the druid that caught the three Gorillons that he was fighting, and tentative attacks from the others, the Barbarian was at...

Wait for it...

-269 hit points.

I love this module. :D :D :D Just felt like showing off what can happen to unprepared characters. I didn't roll a single critical hit for any of the monsters the entire time. Of course, after he finished hacking the things to death in his frenzy, he went for the nearest living thing: the other party members. ::cackle::

And I thought our paladin getting killed in one round was bad. Unless I had the Heal spell, I wouldn't even try to fix that that mess.

Call me impressed.

You'd think after a certain point there wouldn't physically be enough body left to keep on pluggin away.

Rend is the goriest, coolest and most rat-bastard ability out-there. Note to self: Never forget to include dire apes, hags, trolls and gorillons.

"As the puddle of blood crashes against the monsters, you wonder just when is this guy gonna give up"

Barbarian (-269 hp): Hurry up, hurry up heal me goddamit!
Cleric: Easy there big fella. One sec..
Barbarian: Too late. Aaaaaaaarrrrrgh! *splat*
