So in wake of the previous thread I am genuinely curious to know Where EnWorld stands edition wise. Please no edition wars or snark.

Which of all the editions do you prefer over all the others? Or do you prefer a D20 Variant over DnD?

I'll play any edition, 3.5 by preference.

I will never run 4Ed, nor do I expect to purchase anything beyond the initial Core 3...perhaps when 5Ed gets announced and 4Ed stuff goes on deep discount, but no sooner.

I am enjoying playing/running 4e but have recently been feeling a deep desire to play in a 2e campaign... wish I could find one in my area.

I really have no preference. I will never be involved with 3E/3.5E again ~snark removed~, but any other edition I will gladly play or run. I voted 2E simply because it's the one I had the most experience with when I was younger, and still feel pretty familiar with it.

I've moved past D&D at this point, but if I'm going to play it, I prefer 3.5. It's the edition I know best and am most comfortable with, on either side of the screen.

I can honestly say that at this point in time, 4E is my favourite edition. We'll see how things go after a few more months/years. At the back end of my 3E DM'ing tenure, for example, I had a sudden, surprising longing for some 2nd Edition AD&D action.

Pathfinder RPG is my game, now.

I'll also gladly play 1E, OD&D and 3E. 4th and 2nd I refuse to play again.

I can honestly say that I have no preference. I've played all the editions except for the ones with their roots in Basic, and I've had stonkingly great games in all editions except for 4e (and I've only run that for a few sessions to date).

I'd play a game of D&D run in any edition at all.

Above all others, Mutants & Masterminds. Then a bunch of other things that would still belong in the 'd20 variants' lot above. So, I voted accordingly.
