So I DMed a bunch of stewardesses on the weekend... Now with Story Hour Action!

Unattainable Ideal
Okay, they're actually flight attendants, but the archaic term conjures up more entertaining visions.

But seriously, my wife has decided that RPGs are no longer the realm of the geeky and has recruited a bunch of her friends, including four flight attendants and a geography teacher, all women, to start up a D&D group with me as DM.

They have responded with absolute enthusiasm and excitement. They're so pumped about this. So I have my lovely wife and five other lovelies, none of whom have ever played before, descending on me.

It's hilarious. And sort of terrifying. I mean, I don't think I'm physically capable of saying to a tall, willowy Columbian woman, even one who's my friend and I've known for years, "Hey, wanna play some Dungeons and Dragons?" My geekiness is pretty deeply ingrained that way, but of course my wife doesn't care. And of course they think it's the best idea EVER.

So what do you think? Will we all be up to our ears in stewardesses before too long? Or is my wife out of her extremely attractive gourd?

Note: Started up a Story Hour about this little escapade. Link in the sig.

If you need a break, I'll be happy to run a couple of sessions for you.

We can only hope

Or is my wife out of her extremely attractive gourd?

I'll stay out of that one.

Good luck. And tell them if they want to play the next time they fly through Salt Lake, there is always room at my table.

If you find yourself at a loss for words there's an old public speaking trick whereby you
imagine them all in their underwear

So, do you play with your wife already? That's pretty cool -- I've done a few games with mine, but it didn't take as well as I'd have liked...

I'm not sure that would help with my DMing...

And my wife would be SURE to pick up on that one...

Oh yes, she's an avid player now. She loses more characters than anyone else but she's the most engaged player I have.

Of course, she's writing a fantasy novel, so she's not your typical gorgeous redhead.
