Three hours before we game tonight and I'm informed the game is canceled. So, what do other people do when this happens to them?

I really like to play board games like Settlers, History of the World, Axis and Allies, or similiar, but because the vast majority of my discretionary free time is taken up by Role-Playing I very rarely get to play these games, so playing one of these is my first choice if game night is canceled.

With my group pretty much the only thing we do together is D&D. When sessions get canceled (which admitadly is not very often) I usually either go do something with other friends or stay at home and watch TV depending on how much time I have to get something else going.

I go with Settelers, RoboRally, or a game of WarHammer 40K. Usually have at least one guy who is always here and we are always good for 40K. If I can get the wide involved, if the kids are asleep, then one of the other two becomes an option. Sometimes its just a quick game of Spades and if it comes down to no game at all, I'll get my daughter and play Chess with her (she is 6).

Have 2 groups (looking for a 3rd). Wednesday night group usually still gets together to game, either 1 shot, or cards, or Dominoes. Saturday group I try and find another way to kill some time, maybe work on Wednesday nights game.

Go to clubs/bars, drink, try to pick up women.
Go to clubs/bars with wife, drink, try to pick up women.
Play board games or card games (poker, magic, munchkin, ect)

Go home and sulk...then play a computer game. :)

I never meet my group other than for gaming, so any cancellations usually happen days ahead of game day. So I've always got something else planned. And if it is a late cancellation, I stay home and read and watch TV and surf the ENboards (don't we all?).
