Maps and Other Campaign Resources (Updated 12/04/2004)
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE LINKS ON ANY CAMPAIGN OR GAME THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SEEING HERE!! (I will update this occassionally, and try to remove non-functioning links and add new links.)
Hello,
As I promised in Edena of Neith's To My Friends in the IR thread, I promised to create a list of resources for WoTC's current and past settings. So here is what I have found. Let me know what you think, and please add any resources that you think would make the games in Gaming Action more enjoyable. Of course, do check out anything new on the Forgotten Realms and World of Greyhawk Settings over at Wizards of the Coast: http://www.wizards.com
Places -- Planet Names of the Settings: Planet names of Settings
(This thread lists planet names for various settings such as the planets in Realmspace and Greyspace.)
I have added a few more links, mostly focusing on names. Some are real world names, and might be helpful for anyone with a kid on the way.
Additionally, I added a linguistics section. (The resources from Yourdictionary.com are quite good. The grammar section has links for Tolkien's languages, as well as languages from the Star Wars and Star Trek universes.)

Also, you'd be surprised whay you find by just searchin on google, as long as your search is specific enough so you don't get non-dndn related material.
Otherwise, this site might be usefll as well Orient
Also there is a boxed set of Kara tur from the 2nd edtition. All oriental adventures in 2nd edeition take place in Kara-Tur. .pdf files of kara-tur can be bought here
TimelineTimeline of Kara Tur, using 4 different reckonings, including the fearunian Dalereckoning (DR)
Sorry that I have not added to this thread in a while, but I have been busy. So, here are a few more things that I will shortly add to the first post. Remember, this is a community resource, so feel free to add links to maps and other resources. Also, I am curious how this thread has helped people with their games -- here and elsewhere.

Hello,
We are based in Blue Island, with players from Bridgeview and Oak Lawn, and further. Our group is currently 6, with two possible departures. We are looking for another TEAM player, along with a possible future DM. We have several campaigns going on including Return to Temple of Elemental Evil, and Maztica. We are also training a new DM. Our groups average age is 35. We meet every other Saturday, so thats twice a month, with occasionally switching to do two in a row to meet players schedules. We really want a reliable player, and like what we have read on your post. Let us know...We will give you until August to reply, then look elsewhere. Please contact via Email @ thorun09@msn.com or harchunk@yahoo.com.
Here are some Kalamar links. I also plan to try to update this page shortly after Gen Con, when some new settings are released. PLEASE feel free to contribute websites as well.

I don't see it anywhere in this thread, so I'll suggest my own website, "Maldin's Greyhawk" at http://melkot.com where you can find all sorts of original maps designed for my home campaign in the World of Greyhawk, but potentially useful to any DM who wants to co-opt them into their own campaign. The maps you'll find there also include the map of the City of Greyhawk I designed for WotC/RPGA a few years back, and was published as a 2x3 foot poster insert in the Living Greyhawk Journal.
Edit: Also on my website you can find "A Guide to RPG Map Making", a fairly detailed page with lots of helpful advice on making your own RPG maps.
Andion Isurand and Maldin --- thanks for your additions to the thread!!! I plan to take some time soon to double check all the links and add some new ones to the first post. Your links will DEFINITELY be included. (Heck, both of you were the only ones to contribute to the thread in a while. Thands again.)

A lot of the threads don't work. Mabye it's my computer, or they could be gone.
Shadowbane, I am going to check all the links again in the next few days. So, sorry for any inconvenience.
I have already begun checking the links for some to remove, and others to add.
If there are any settings or rules that you or other posters want added to the first post, please add them. The whole reason for this thread is to have resources to help people in the online and offline games. So, feel free to add some more and I will move them up.
