Just heard a news report that Christopher Reeve slipped into a coma, suffered cardiac arrest, and died...

The Entertainment section of CNN (headline) says:

Actor Christopher Reeve has died at the age of 52, a day after lapsing into a coma, his publicist tells CNN.

DAAMMMNNN. I honestly didn't see that coming. I want my old Superman II posters (worn out years ago).

I was just coming in to post the news if no one else had.
This is not the way I like to start a Monday.
This really makes me treasure his apperances on Smallville.

You know, most of the time my reaction to the passing of a celebrity is "Gee, that's too bad." Heartfelt, but no true emotional impact.

But I'm actually not too far away from tears over this one. I'd really hoped to see him walk again, before the end.

That's so sad. As infectious as his optimism was, it's hard to say one couldn't see it coming. He'd been living on borrowed time ever since his accident.

Very very sad. I hope they do something nice on Smallville to commemorate him.
