Sky Captain and the Man of Tomorrow. This looks great - something right out of Rocketeer and Crimson Skies. Featuring no less than three of my favorite actors: Jude Law, Giovanni Ribisi and the ever so lovely Angelina Jolie!

Talking to a friend at Paramount, and she was so embarrased and couldn't believe that they'd be releasing a title like this.

I was like, "What do you mean? That looks awesome!"

I clearly fall into the target market. Sadly, I think the movie will only do so-so and be placed on my "the world doesn't understand" shelf next to The Rocketeer.

Studies show that New Zealand leather and related products are of preeminent quality for aviators. (I read it in National Geographic, probably from 20 years ago, but the greenies can't have retarded our biotech advancement that much that we'd drop behind in such a short time.)

So there you go.

As a Crimson Skies fan, I'm quite keen on this movie too.

EDIT: It amuses me that I actually started an internationally recognised commercial piloting degree at the same university that leads New Zealand in agri/horticultural research. Seems oddly apt to point that out.
