  • Never use them, so it doesn\'t matter.

Alright, just for the heck of it, forget how it's supposed to be pronounced. Which one do you like better?

Edit: Damn typos! Anyway, I guess it's understandable anyway...

I thought there was lots of "official" statements saying that its like "cow".

Moooooooooooo.

There are, the pronunciation FAQ says like Cow, Gygax says like Cow, there are just lots of people who pronounced it wrong long ago, and it's too late for them to change.

Where can I find this? I have never seen anything that states officially how to pronounce it. I would like to.

Yeah, but I don't care how it's supposed to be pronounced. I'm just curious how people like to say it regardless of what it's supposed to be.

Yeah, this does come up quite often. And there's always a bunch of folks who jump in and say that regardless of what it's supposed to be like, they don't say it that way and never will.

That's what prompted this question. How do you wish it was pronounced?

PS: Please read the question, folks. I know how it's supposed to be pronounced. I'm trying to deliberately deflect all the pointless replies of "it's officially cow." I already know that. I already said that. That's not what I'm asking.

Maybe I can't actually post this question because I don't know if the results are any good. I think too many people glance at it, say "it's supposed to be cow; that's official" and click that button regardless.

PPS: Which "ow" in snowplow? :D
