This, to me, was the creepiest episode yet. I loved it!! I think it was because of the way Locke looked with those eyes in Claire's dream. That just set the tone. Throw in the psychic and then the ending with "Ethan" and it's just CREEEEEEEPY.

Also, best comedic line yet- Sawyer calling Hurley "Stay Puft". Great stuff!

I didn't find it as creepy. Once they started the writing of names and then showed that their was the manifest it seemed obvious that they would find someone not on the plane. It was okay and next week's action fest might be good.

Yeah, but Sayid had already discovered others on the island last week, so I think despite the obviousness of that, it brought the two episodes together.

What I like is that the show has a lot of weird subtle things to it. The writters seem to love to throw stuff in there you might not notice, that might or might not have anything to do with anything else. :-p

I guess I wasn't focusing on the manifest and was more interested in Claire's story. I didn't see the name matching coming until the end. You're right it should have been more obvious to me, but I'm glad it wasn't in the end. :o

Anyone else wondering what kind of devil child Claire is carrying, and how it relates to the island?

I would assume savior, the psychic stating only your goodness can save the baby, maybe he knew that the baby was the key to the people surviving out there... I do not think I am right, but who knows. ;)

But the child is only a devil child if Claire doesn't raise it, due to her innate goodness. Which I thought was cool. Claire is like a Paladin. :D

I'm not convinced the psychic was really psychic. It's just as plausible that he was crooked, and he was running a scheme to sell Claire's baby. He offered her $12k for it, but she would have gotten $20k from the other couple.

About the manifest, I didn't see it coming either. Of course, I was posting while the show was on, so I was a bit distracted. Damn that cliffhanger ending! I demand immediate satisfaction!

Maybe the plane crashed on island so this baby would be raised by Claire? Very cool episode. I like how none of the pens would let Claire sign her name.

But he kept stressing that she, and she alone, must raise the baby. In that regard, he didn't seem crooked to me.

But I like how Claire and Charlie are assuming that the psychic meant for Claire to be on the island. They don't really know, of course, if his abilities are legit, and the show isn't saying that psychics are real. It may all just be a coincidence. Or it could be more. I like the ambiguity here.
