Who are the bad guys supposed to be in the movie? I haven't found many discussions of the plot online..mmu1 said:Looks good, as long as the finished version doesn't overdo the moralizing.
I have to say I find it amusing that the bad guys in a movie about the Crusades these days have to be other Westerners... Reminds me of a story about a guy trying to pitch a war movie, and getting asked by one of the film execs "So, who are the bad guys?" He replied "The Germans", and the exec smiled indulgently and said "No, who are the real enemies?"
Anyway, I like that they put them all in realistic (well, for all I know) chainmail, rather than in anachronistic or entirely made-up plate armor.
BTW, is that David Wenham (aka Faramir) in one of the last scenes, saying something about "strength for what is to come"?
