some ideas to get them started.

they're all going to be DvR 10, i think. Khur will be NE, to reflect the alignment change of the little gobbies, while Nomog will stay at LE since hobbies didn't change, and Barg is just well suited to LE, and only that.

domains: all will have Evil as domain (hey, not looking at my DDG at the moment - do all evil gods have Evil, and all good have Good?) also:
Khur - Strength and Trickery? - possibly Destruction?
Nomog - Law and War, obviously
Barg - Law, and Community? - possibly Protection?

classes: tell me what you think of these ideas
Khur - F14/C9/Rog9/Sor8
Nomog - F15/C15/Rog10
Barg - C16/F13/ and Cha will probably be his highest stat, so the remaining levels in either Sor or Bard?

for ability scores, i will use the same method that i used for maglubiyet. that is, average the ability scores from both editions (where applicable), then add 10 to each score, and 10 more points all around.
therefore, i start with the following values:

Khur - 20/18/18/15/11/16
Nomog - 22/17/18/16/12/16
Barg - 16/15/16/16/16/19

i'll probably bump all the Cha scores up to at least 29, cause i like to give avatars to each god. :D

To be honest I haven't had time to look them over, but I will. And just what exactly is Barg god over? Does s/he have anything to do with the barghest from the MM? Souns like s/he does. Also aren't those stats a little on the low side? Try giving them stats above 20, as there is little more demeaning to a deity than being outwitted by a mortal wizard.

As for the domains, I don't know if all evil deities have the evil domain, but I doubt it. The majority do however. By try tinkering with giving them other domains than the alignment based. But getting back on track, I think the domains you have listed are fine.

Nomog is the deity of the hobgoblins, right? So that's Evil, Law and War. (Which you have written out). No other domains seem to fit.

The others I'm not to sure about, as I currently don't know them that well.

Later,

OK, sorry I didn’t post this stuff in the first place. :)

The names I posted here were abbreviations – nicknames that will help us to identify these beings without typing their full 37-letter names every time. ;) “Khur” is Khurgorbaeyag, “Nomog” is Nomog-Geaya, and “Barg” is Bargrivyek, as you will see in the title of this thread. :)

Here is an overview of the information on each of these, to tide you over until you get to read the full thing:

KHURGORBAEYAG
The Overseer
Lesser Deity
Symbol: Red and yellow striped whip
Home Plane: Acheron
Alignment: Neutral evil
Portfolio: Goblins, slavery, oppression, morale
Worshippers: Goblins
Favored Weapon: Whip

Khurgorbaeyag is the patron god of goblins as a race (tolerated to exist by good ole Mags)

NOMOG-GEAYA
The General, the Torturer
Lesser Deity
Symbol: Crossed broadsword and hand axe
Home Plane: Acheron
Alignment: Lawful evil
Portfolio: Hobgoblins, war, authority
Worshippers: Hobgoblins
Favored Weapon: Broadsword (and/or hand axe)

Nomog-Geaya is the patron deity of hobgoblins, in the same capacity that Khurgorbaeyag serves Maglubiyet.

BARGRIVYEK
The Peacekeeper
Lesser Deity
Symbol: White-tipped flail
Home Plane: Baator
Alignment: Lawful evil
Portfolio: Goblinoids, co-operation, territory
Worshippers: Goblinoids
Favored Weapon: Flail

Bargrivyek is the Peacekeeper only in the respect that he maintains peace between goblin tribes, uniting them against other races.

krish, those stats are just what i'm using for a base. i'm adding 10 to each score, then scattering 10 points all around. sounds better? :)

Much better, why didn't you just say so in the first place? :D

Now, for the domains:

KHUR: Evil, Trickery, War (And tyrrany if you use FRCS domains :D)

NOMOG: Evil, Law, Strength, War (perhaps the Planning if you use FRCS)

BARG: Community, Evil, Law.

or maybe we should just give them the following domain and be done with it:

Goblin Domain:
Granted Power:
You gain the Lightning Relfexes feat as a bonus feat.

1. Magic Stone
2. Cat's Grace
3. Invisibility
4. Poison
5. Rigtheous Might
6. Improved Invisibility
7. Shadow Walk
8. Unholy Aura
9. Power Word, Kill

Of course, the above is just a suggestion.

Later,

cool, i like those domains. :) also makes sense that nomog would have 4, as he's the most powerful of these three (IMO).

what do you think about the character levels?

Classes? Hmm...

Khur - Clr 10/Ftr 10/Rog 10/Ass 10 (ignoring the illusionist) or Ftr 10/Rog 10/Wiz(illus) 10/Ass 10 (Ignoring the cleric)

Nomog - Ftr 20/Clr 20 or Ftr 20/Clr 10/Blk 10

Barg - Clr 20/Ftr 20 or Clr 20/Ftr 10/Wiz 10

Later,

i think by and large, since the DDG ingored PrC's, i will too for now. it would make my conversions seriously different from them, and while i don't mind them being different from the standard, i don't want them to be incompatible. dunno, maybe i'll rework them (and mags) after they're finished, as two seperate versions. the DDG standard version, and the tweaked out "really kick you ass" version. ;)

(besides, i don't want any of these guys to be an "Ass", bad for public image). :D

i think i'll go with these combinations. these guys are pretty simple, and should rely mostly on the Clr/Ftr combination, with a little something extra. i really don't want them to have higher levels in Fighter than Maglubiyet, as i doubt that he would tolerate his subbordinates being more adept that he is. we can fudge around with the levels a bit though, and i'll listen to suggestions as always.

Khur - F14/C9/Rog 9/Sor or Ill 8 (the illusionist might be a good idea, but mags is one already, do we need two of them among the gobbies? or, maybe that couldn't hurt...)
Nomog - F15/C15/Rog10 (as originally posted, maybe take some levels from Rog and add them to Clr?)
Barg - C16/F13/Brd or Sor 11 (as i said before, his Charisma will be very high, so Sor is a better choice than Wiz, although Brd will certainly help him be more inspiring and give him better influence on his people)
