November 2003
Refugees from the village of Oester have been flooding the city of Calas,
fleeing from an unspeakable terror that has ravaged the northern settlement.
Their faces still show the horror they have endured and their tongues are
silenced by shock and fear. Could it be a plague? Could a terrible monster
torment them? It is up to the adventurers to discover the cause of this panic.

Little do the adventurers know a shadowy evil has risen from the dead to
possess the abandoned tower on the hill overlooking Oester. Most have
forgotten about this sinister force, except the king. He knows that his
family’s past has come to haunt him and threaten his line’s succession. Will
the adventurers help hide his family’s past and preserve the monarchy or
reveal the truth and cause trouble?

An adventure setting for character levels 3-5. Mature content.

Availalable at better book stores and game stores for the holidays.

I better be getting me one of those. If it is anything like the first product... it would be a honor to use the thing in a game.

Any details about the xtras that might be in this one?

Good question...Ed did a masterful job with the first product with all the extras and we can only hope it continues.

I like the fact that this cover captures the same essence as the first product cover did with 1A: The Hamlet of Thumble. Village of Oester can only be on par or succeed the first product.

Way to go Ed!

Thanks so much, Crothian! With all this praise, you're going to have to seriously consider giving this one 5 stars though. ;)

I really appreciate the kind words. :)

Glad you enjoyed The Hamlet of Thumble!

This one will be quite different from the first one though in that it is darker and has more adventure to it. There are some nasty characters that will be sure to rile up your players!

I'll have more information soon.

Thanks, Bob! The essence is coming from the same fingertips so it should be the same, but this thing is way different.

I think a lot of people who said, "Halflin's? I don't need any of those cute, cuddly things in my game!" are going to love this one. There's a creepy story here and lots of undead and ugly people.

I'm hoping though that people who buy The Village of Oester will also go back and pick up The Hamlet of Thumble!
