Remove Paralysis versus Blasphemy...

Celtavian

Dragon Lord
A Remove Paralysis spell can affect multiple targets, but if used on multiple targets it only gives them an additional saving throw. Blasphemy does not allow a saving throw. So if you use a Remove Paralysis on multiple targets paralyzed by a Blasphemy spel does it:

1. have no effect
2. allow a save as if the spell allowed a save versus the DC of the spell if it allowed a save.
3.Just allow the first person nearest the caster to have their paralysis removed.

How do you arbitrate Remove Paralysis versus Blasphemy?

Hehe if I felt like a bastard it wouldn't work. If the characters were in trouble, I'd go with option #2 :)

Seriously, good question.

re

bump.

Also, I allowed the Silence spell to protect against Blasphemy because it has the Sonic descriptor. Wasn't there a discussion about this a while back?

Dazed, weakened, paralyzed, and killed, yes; banishment happens anyway. (It explicitly states "regardless of whether they hear the Blasphemy".)

Thanks for the confirm. No extraplanar peeps in the group, so I didn't have to worry about that. Good info to know.

How would you have arbitrated the Remove Paralysis for multiple people against Blasphemy?
