First Post
Inspired by Mordane's thread, I thought I'd shamelessly post one of my own. Lacking the time to get involved in a regularly scheduled FtF game, I'd like to try my hand at PbP GMing.

Ideally, I'd like to run something other than straight fantasy D&D, so here are my ideas, in no particular order:

Paranoia - Citizens! Serve the Computer! Trust No One! Keep Your Laser
Handy! (This would either be 2nd edition Paranoia or
ParanoiD20 - a very loose conversion/hybridization in case
people don't have the rules)

Testament - D20 Roleplaying in Biblical times. I have a few ideas for
campaigns in this setting but would ned to work with
interested players before settling on anything.

Godlike - Superhero Roleplaying during WWII

A CoC Variant - Candidates include Cthulhu by Gaslight and Delta Green,
or possibly an early human setting. Probably using d20 rules,
maybe BRP (though I've never run that before)

Pendragon - Role Playing in Malory's Arthurian Britain.

Traveller T20 - Ive never run or played Traveller, but would like to.

I would be interested in Testament . . . but only if it was like L'Engle's Many Waters, with angels and devils and things running around, tempting the people, etc. :) I'm not really interested in any of the others, but I've played Traveller before, and it's fun, so I vote for that too. :)

Well, if my hopelessly-addicted self were to join another game (which may be probable, if it's something cool ;)), I'd like to try out Testament or even Pendragon (though for that I'd need some help with the rules). Call of Cthulhu interests me, too, but I don't know if I feel like playing it right now, I have a Gaslight game in the works meself. If it was Delta Green, mebbe. ;)

Thanks, those of you who have voted and/or commented so far.

Couple questions/comments -

Those who voted for Traveller:
Are you interested in the setting, the ruleset, science fiction gaming in general, or some combination? Wondering because I'm not too familiar with the official setting (for which I know there is a TON of material available), and I'd need to read up ifI was going to run that in favor of the campaign ideas currently running around inside my little brain.

Godlike voters:
Would you prefer Godlike mechanics or the d20 conversion? Id like to try out the Godlike mechanics, but that might be an issue for those without the book.

CoC voters:
Andrew, if you're going to run a Gaslight game on these boards, I probably won't, but I might like to play :). So lets say the CoC options are Delta Green, Early human, or, maybe, Traveller/Far Future?

I think I liked Traveller because of two reasons. 1) the GM was good. 2) It was my first real RP experience. That doesn't help much (particularly because I don't recall many details about it), but I'm still thinking Traveller would be fun. :)

I have all the little plot details worked out in my head, just need to get them down on paper. And get started on my other game I'm running, too. I kinda actually would like to do a multi-generational thing, with some of the Gaslight characters ending up as ancestors of NPCs in my 1920s and Delta Green games I've run. But I'll let ya know when it does get started, though.

I'd try them out but don't have the book so if you don't build up the characters that could be a problem.

It might be a bit of an issue, as Godlike has a higher morbidity rate than, say D&D (not so high as CoC, however), but I guess we can figure which system to use when/if I decide on starting a campaign.
