AFAIK, these are the first Matrix Revolutions reviews to appear on the net. Be warned that the third review contains spoilers.

I'm now more excited than ever for The Matrix: Revolutions. If you're the type of person who was disappointed by Reloaded, it sounds like Revolutions will be everything you wanted the second one to be.

I, for one, was quite happy with Reloaded. And after reading these reviews for Revolutions, it's going to be very hard waiting two more weeks before it opens. :D

Sounds like a plant to me.. the reviewers go all out to justify what the Wachowskis are doing. But I'll still be catching it of course. :D

I didn't read the third review. I like surprises.

But I just watched Reloaded for a second time, on DVD, and enjoyed it more than the first time. So if Revolutions is even better, I'm gonna be happy with it.

(Even if it is fetish-leather gun-porn...ya gotta have a little of that in your life, right?)

I finally saw Reloaded for the first time (what can I say? I've got a kid), and I really enjoyed it. I actually wasn't expecting to like it, so it surpassed my expectations by quite a bit. In truth, it completely destroyed my expectations, so I'm very pleased with it. Now that I've seen it, I really want to know where the story is going.

My only question - now that Smith isn't an agent anymore, why is he still going after Neo? I thought the excuse he gave in the movie -
that it was to give him a sense of purpose
- was pretty weak.

Revenge, I would say.
He was going after Neo to take away Neo's purpose, not to give himself a purpose.

Anyone else seen Reloaded on an IMAX? We did that a couple of weeks ago.

Talk about sensory overload! I've got pretty good peripheral vision and I had a hard time tracking everything. What I did follow almost hurt.

Sometime around the restaurant, my brain learned how to process it all, but I still don't see the benefit of putting it on IMAX. Didn't look like they did anything real special for the formatting. It's a bit like sitting in the front row and having the screen wrapped around your head.

Needless to say, I won't be doing that with Revolutions.

I'm quite looking forward to Revolutions--something I didn't think I'd ever hear myself say this time last year.

Truth is, not only did I like Reloaded better than the first movie, Reloaded actually made me like the first movie better than I used to.
It gave a logical explanation for the spiritual/mystical aspects of the firts one, like the Oracle or the concept of a Chosen One. I always hated those about the first movie; they seemed trite and forced into an otherwise pure sci-fi movie. The fact that they now have a place makes the whole thing fit together for me that much better.

And all that probably didn't need a spoiler tag, but just in case... :)
