Four "Complete" Books from WotC?

G'day!

Following Emirikol's note about the Living Greyhawk changes, I perused the article (see here: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=159154 ) for details.

Of note was the following passage (emphasis mine):

New Class Books - The new class books will be used in the campaign. As each book comes out it will be merged into the campaign with the next LGCS update. Any material that we use from the Complete books will supersede material found in the old builder books. So if you have 5 levels of Bladesinger you will have 5 levels of the new Bladesinger. If the requirements change you can tweak a bit so you still meet the requirements of the prestige class. Once all 4 complete books are out the old builder books will be removed from the campaign. Any prestige class, spell, or feat that has not been updated from them will also be removed from the campaign at this time. Specific rules on how this happens will be contained in the LGCS update (the Complete Warrior will be in the LGCS that comes out in February).

So, only four Class Books? Interesting. Complete Warrior, Complete Divine, Complete Arcanist? and Complete Rogue?

Cheers!

Right.

And now, on to the flaming discussion about which classes got the shaft in the new books...

:D

Now now.

First we have to discuss which classes are over powered, and which ones don't represent psuedo culture "X" correctly. :p

THEN we move on to "which classes got the shaft."

Everything in their proper order my friend. ;)

if WotC is going to follow any logic in naming the next books would be:

Complete Adept
Complete Aristocrat
and Complete Commoner :D

But those would only cater to powergamers, damned munchkin books! <Waves fist at sky>

What this game needs is the The Complete Fieldmouse and The Complete Amoeba, just like the good old days.

Complete Warrior seemed to focus on combat-oriented options for all classes. If that is so (and not focused on the "warrior" classes), what would the other three aspects of DnD be?

Role-playing (which might be a "Complete Diplomat" of sorts)?
Problem-solving ("Complete Detective")?
Storytelling ("Complete Narrator")?
Spellcasting (which would include arcane and divine)?
Stealth ("Complete Infiltrator")?

Your opinion?

Klaus/Claudio yeah but if they do Complete Sage, there will be a whole new generation of smart alex players! ;)
