Review of the Batman Begins script (very minor SPOILERS)

Klaus

First Post
The review is spoiler-free, mentioning only stuff that has already popped up around the internet.

From IGN FilmForce

Highlights include:

- Ra's Al Ghul is the "Keyzer Soze" of the Batman mythos. Rumor has it that he's immortal, but that is never actually proved in the film.

- Johnathan Crane earns the nickname Scarecrow, but never runs around dressed like a Wizard of Oz escapee. :)

- Sgt. Jim Gordon (GARY OLDMAN!!!!!!!!) is partnered with a crooked cop named Flass (Batman: Year One).

Can't wait to see this one!

I have faith that Hollywood can screw up even great scripts
No doubt. But with a good script (hey, I liked Blade), a very good director, a once-in-a-lifetime cast, and what generally seems to be a commitment to quality and due reverance paid to fine comic book stories from all concerned, I think they'd have to go out of there way to screw this one up at this point.

Compare it to Batman and Robin, which sounded bad from the minute I heard the words "campy and fun" and "Arnold Schwarzenegger".
