In a step toward making ultra-powerful computers, scientists have transferred physical characteristics between atoms by using a phenomenon so bizarre that even Albert Einstein called it spooky.

It is spooky. The "entangled" particles change state at the same time, ignoring obstacles or distance. I'd love to know how it's possible, but I'm afraid that it would cost me 1/1d6 SAN points.

I just took the sanity damage...and it was good.
 

Yeah, it always feels good, and sooner than you'd think, you find yourself banging against walls, shouting "tunnel effect! It's got to work sooner or later!".

Speaking of Albert, have you seen the September Scientific American yet? All Einstein, all the time. :)

You'll want to check out Was Einstein Right? on page 88. Points out a few things about Quantum Mechanics.
