I disagree with Monte fundamentally on the role of stat blocks. Don't make me open the Monster Manual during the game! Other than that, pretty interesting review (if a little nitpicky).

lol Nitpicks are nice way of saying "I couldn't find a real reason to complain so I'll make my stance on stat blocks and referring to all PCs as Heroes very clear."

I agree. One of the first things I do before running a published adventure is generate stat blocks for all the monsters and print them out.

Ahh well.. if the worst thing said by Monte Cook about my adventure is assuming the PCs are "heroes".. I guess I can roll with that :)

Truthfully though.. that's just a bad habit of mine... got to work on that :D

I dunno - I'm kind of fond of the distinction some games, such as SAGA, make between PCs and NPCs. They call them heroes and characters. For me, the PCs are heroes, because they're the stars of the show. All the rest of the individuals played by the DM are just characters. It certainly makes it read easier if you use "heroes" instead of "PCs" or "player characters".

Don't be too afraid to keep the habit. ;)

Great work!

Cheers,
Cam
